Common- Break My Heart

Two great songs that I couldn’t help but to post. Common is the perfect rapper for any old school sample and Kanye paired him with yet another great one. Although this song may have not been the radio hit others where, it stood out to me amongst the others song. It may have been George Duke’s smooth, soothing, voice that has subsisted in my mind, but that is  just a thought.

A classic Warren G and Nate Dogg track. I heard Trey Songz and Warren G performing this during the Vh1 Hip-Hop Honor awards, and I had to post the original.

Monumental.

It’s a dead topic, but it’s still funny.

I’m seriously afraid of Maxwell. Just take one look at this guy and tell me he doesn’t strike fear in your heart. He’s looks like Lenny Kravitz, who is also scary. The way his voice has like 3 different octaves is kind of creepy.

He’s only 30 there’s plenty of time, especially since you can rap till your like 60 these days. His first album went Platinum and his second album he released from jail so come on. This is great for hip-hop.

Whatever happened to great musicians like this guy?

This one of those songs that’s was kind of overshadowed by the bigger more promoted songs. Regardless though this is my favorite Maroon5 song. These guys make consistently make better than great music. So seeing as it is Sunday morning where I am I decided to post this song.

Being from the DMV I have known about Wale for a while now. Well, he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves. This song came out a few years back. It was the second or third single of Chingy’s Jackpot album. Don’t act like you didn’t want to spend at least one night in the Holiday Inn after seeing that music video. My thoughts are this; Chingy should of never left DTP maybe than he would still be relevant in the ever changing hip-hop world. oh well.
